Conformation:
A conformation dog show is meant to evaluate breeding stock. The dog's conformation (appearance and structure) is judged against the breed standard. Traditionally HRVHA offers two conformation shows on the same day each year on the third Sunday in July at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in Carmel, NY. AKC Hound Group Breeds –

Lure Coursing:
A sport where dogs chase a lure through a course and are judged on their speed, agility, endurance, enthusiasm, and follow.

Program/Indefinite Listing Privilege (PAL/ILP) Dogs with Conditional Registration are eligible to participate
Dogs with Limited Registration are eligible to participate
Spayed and Neutered Dogs are able to participate
Ineligible to Participate:
Monorchid and Cryptorchid Dogs are ineligible to participate
Bitches in Season are ineligible to participate
Hounds with Breed Disqualifications, as listed in the AKC Breed Standards, are ineligible to enter Lure Coursing Tests and Trials
